hey, where's Israel in country list???
===
Yo, Alex -- You ask a good question. There are 111 countries that have minted coins only since 1948, with no coins minted before that. As such, coins from Israel are classified under 'Modern' in the 'Extra Category' class.

This website was really helpful! I was so excited to find a coin that looked a little 'funny' in the register at work that I bought it immediately. A co-worker laughed saying 'Its only a penny', but thanks to you, I just found out that penny is worth one to two dollars!

I started out collecting coins every since I found a state quarter 'Connecticut' with the mint mark double stamped. I have been collecting since 2001. I have checked many a websites and there are not many that mention the Connecticut Quarter is double stamped I have a one other state quarter that is not mentioned also. I have added many coins to the collection since then and have not been able to find information out on many of them. Some of these coins are from all over the world. It would take days to upload all of my coins. I would love to find out information on all of them. Some of them I

Hi Charlott -- The info you are looking for is in coin catalogs. Get them at your library. The CoinQuest site is meant primarily for non-collectors who are looking only for general information.

I just wanted to let Paul (re my REQUEST #14058), and everyone else associated with CoinQuest, know how so very IMPRESSED I am with your entire website and library on helping everyone to simply be able to not only look up this coin information themselves about every coin imaginable, but in addition to personally being able to ask about your own specific situation and then get an ANSWER in days as well. CUDOS TO ALL OF YOU AND THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FROM I KNOW SO MANY OF US THAT WOULD LIKE TO ALSO TELL YOU BUT HAVEN’T DONE SO!!! Barry Evans

Thank you, Barry. We really enjoy coin collecting and think it is an enjoyable and character-building hobby. CoinQuest is mostly for non-collectors, and we try to introduce collecting in a positive light.

Nice website. Has helped me lot. Thought I feel you need to allow more appraisals and answer them quicker. It would also help if you provided references to reputable dealers and when talking about coin values given the grade of the coin rather than 'well preserved' or 'average circulated'
===
Hi Rutvij -- Thanks for your comments. You can see on our 'about' page that the CoinQuest mission is quite a bit different than most coin web sites. Our list of good dealers is on our 'copyright' page. See also the PNG Dealers web site.

Hey. I was looking at the page for the Canadian 1967 commemorative dime with the mackerel on it, and I noticed it listed as being worth face value. Some quick research reveals that these coins were minted in 50% and 80% silver. Any thoughts?

Yo, Chris -- Thanks! We fixed the page. I appreciate that you took the time to write. -- Paul Richards, CoinQuest -- Click on this link to see the new page.
