Netherlands Antilles 1/10 and 1/4 Gulden 1954 to 1970 Unlike a lot of modern 'silver' coins, which contain no silver at all, 1/10 and 1/4 guldens from the Netherlands Antilles actually contain real silver. Astounding! There is not much silver, only 64 percent by weight, but it is still silver.

1/10 GULDEN, 14 mm diameter, 0.0288 troy ounces silver
worn: base value
average circulated: base value
well preserved: $3 US dollars approximate catalog value
fully uncirculated: $8

1/4 GULDEN, 18 mm diameter, 0.0736 troy ounces silver
worn: base value
average circulated: base value
well preserved: $5 US dollars approximate catalog value
fully uncirculated: $12

Use a site such as kitco.com to find the current value of silver, then multiply by the 0.0288 or 0.0736 fractions to find the base value of 1/10 and 1/4 guldens, respectively.

Apply the concepts of our Important Terminology page (link at upper left) to convert catalog values to actual values.
