Virtually identical to each other, the British florin (2 shillings) and double florin of this period are big, bold silver coins highly sought by collectors. The florin is about 28 mm in diameter with 0.336 troy ounces of silver, and the double florin is 36 mm with 0.673 ounces. Here are some typical catalog values:
