Malaysia Britsh North Borneo Half Cent 1885 to 1907
The norther tip of the Island of Malaysia was known as British North Borneo when these coins were minted and remained so until 1946. These half cent coins are somewhat rare and can bring good collector value when in excellent condition. As always, lots of wear means much less value.
Here is how the catalog values run for these coins. The 1907 date is somewhat more rare, so if you have a 1907, multiply these values by three:
worn: $15 US dollars approximate catalog value
average circulated: $35
well preserved: $120
fully uncirculated: $200
To adjust these catalog values to estimate actual buy and sell values, see our Terminology page.
