Peru 1/2 and 1 Sol 1966 to 1975
Well. 'Oro' means 'gold' but, shucks, there is no gold in these coins. They are made of brass.
Since they are modern coins made of non-precious metal, they are worth face value. The one in our picture is fully uncirculated, so a collector might pay a few US dollars for it.

Requester description: 1968 Front says 'un sol de oro' Back 'banco central de reserva del peru 1968' Front is a picture of an animal, it looks like a llama Back is a crest with three images inside; a llama, a tree and an elephant(?). The crest has a branch on either side, and a garland above.
