Denmark has issued several coins in recent years which follow a similar pattern: the reigning monarch on the front, and a crowned shield on the back. Dates of these coins range from 1947 to 1988.

FREDERIK IX: 1947 to 1972
MARGRETHE II: 1973 to 1988

These coins are made of copper-nickel (not silver) or aluminum bronze (not gold), and carry low collector value when circulated. Fully uncirculated coins are worth a few US dollars to a collector, and there are a few special dates.
