That's St. George the dragon slayer on this old Russian coin. According to the Standard Catalog, the Russian inscriptions read RULER OF ALL THE RUSSIAS, referring to Czar Peter Alexievitch (Peter the Great). The coin in our picture comes from Künker in Germany where it sold for 220 euros (about $300 US dollars) back in 2007. Keunker's coin is in such good shape, it would probably sell for quite a bit more today. Most coins you see are not as well preserved as this one.
Approximate catalog values:
worn: $20 US dollars approximate catalog value
average circulated: $90

CoinQuest thanks Künker for use of their coin photo. It is a beautiful specimen.
