Medal: US Landing on the Mood 1969
Medal: US Landing on the Mood 1969

As far as I know, if this is your medal, it is made of silver, not gold. The one in our picture may be plated with gold. I believe the annotation is AR 9999 where 'AR' is the chemical symbol for silver (argentum) and 9999 is the purity level (pure silver). If this is the case, the medal is worth its weight in silver.

Take your item to a jeweler and ask him or her to determine composition and purity.

Do not buy this medal from someone you do not know and trust.
