Argentina 1, 2, and 4 Centavos 1854
Argentina 1, 2, and 4 Centavos 1854

What a cool coin. And valuable, too. Minted only in 1854, it was issued by the Argentinian Confederation, a short-lived structure of independent provinces with no formal head of state. After much turmoil the Confederation was replaced by a republic with its first issued coins dated 1881.
