Belgium 10 Francs 1930
Belgium 10 Francs 1930

Hello Beryl --

This coin celebrates the independence centennial of Belgium. It is made of nickel. It has a cool design with three heads in profile on the obverse. The reverse inscription varies: some coins have a legend in French (Belgium will be written as 'BELGIQUE'), and some coins have a legend in Dutch ('BELGIE'). Values are usually about the same for both varieties.

Catalog values go like this:
worn: $15 US dollars approximate catalog value
average circulated: $75
well preserved: $130
fully uncirculated: $200

The exception is for coins with 'BELGIE' that are absolutely, fully uncirculated, which catalog at $300.

Don't forget about the nuances of 'catalog value.' Our Terminology page explains what this means and how to interpret it.

Coin: 1736 , Genre: Central Europe North South
