Medal: US American Currencies Medal (with Inlay)
Medal: US American Currencies Medal (with Inlay)

The American Mint (see this link) originally manufactured these medals in Germany. There are various patterns, but the side with the flying eagle, stars, and Capitol Building are the same on all medals. There are separate coins inlaid into the medals and they are all 'American currencies,' that is, coins that circulate in American to support commerce.

These are collectible items and worth what people are willing to pay for them. They look like silver, but contain no silver. You can find them on eBay selling in the neighborhood of $5 to $15 US dollars. That is how much they are worth.
