King Friedrich II ruled the old German State of Prussia between 1740 and 1786. His royal monogram appears on one side of these fractional thalers. There are a few patterns with slight differences, but the same 'FR' theme carries throughout. Some say EINEN THALER and some say EINEN REICHS THALER. See secondary pictures at right below.
The coin in our primary picture (upper left) is a special, extra-valauble date (1892E) and it is in great condition. It was sold by Künker GmbH & Co. in Osnabrück, Germany for $213 US dollars in a 2003 auction. The same coin would bring substantially more today. Values of most of these coins is far less than the Künker example.
To report values of these coins, we first give general values which apply to almost all dates and mint marks. Then we give *special dates* that are more valuable than the general coins.
