Token: US Horseshoe 'May Good Luck Always Accompany the Bearer' 2007 to Date

Sometimes it can be almost impossible to find out when, where and by whom a token was minted. Luckily, this is not one of those times! TokensDirect have been producing tokens out of Ohio since 1835, and in 2007 they posted an announcement:

'With a horseshoe and the slogan “May Good Luck Always Accompany the Bearer” these high quality tokens can be minted with a company logo and other marketing message on the reverse. Tokens are a very memorable promotional item, and can be redeemed for discounts on purchases, for free appetizers, for buy-one-get-some promotions, at the coat check, for parking, in coin-vend operations, and more. They are ideal for restaurants, bars and food retailers, as well as specialty retailers like Irish shops, stores specializing in international merchandise, Irish Dance studios, and others.'

The eagle/flag design is currently being advertised on the front page of their website, which should confirm the identification.

I found a bag of 50 tokens for sale, also with the eagle/flag design, at about $0.50 US dollars each. So they are neither scarce nor valuable. Though I have to admit that, if kept along with its attribution, one of these tokens could be a really fun item for somebody rediscovering it in a hundred years!
