This is a modern (1977AD, Islamic date AH1397) coin made of copper nickel. Collectors buy them for about $3 US dollars, but only ones that are fully uncirculated. Circulated coins are worth much less.
There are several other coins like this. You can use the eastern Arabic numeral chart to determine date and denomination. All such coins dated after 1970AD are worth very little.
On the coins, the date is given as Hijri (AH), an Islamic date based on the life of Muhammed, who lived about 600 years after Jesus. To convert Islamic to Western (Gregorian) date, use the IslamicFinder.org [Press Here] web site.
