fully uncirculated: $10
coins dated 1938, 1939 and 1940 are slightly less common and catalog for $20 when fully uncirculated

1947 to 1948: copper-nickel, with 'IND IMP'
worn: less than $1
average circulated: less than $1
well preserved: $2
fully uncirculated: $10

1949 to 1952: copper-nickel, without 'IND IMP'
worn: less than $1
average circulated: less than $1
well preserved: $2
fully uncirculated: $10
coins dated 1951 are less common and catalog at $20 when fully uncirculated
coins dated 1952 are scarce and catalog at $110 when fully uncirculated
