These Jordanian coins come in various denominations and metallic compositions. The front shows different portraits of King Hussein Ibn Talal who ruled from 1952 to 1959. The back has a circled stalk pattern with eastern Arabic numerals giving the date in Western (Gregorian) and Islamic (Hirji) calendars. The denomination is shown in Latin letters.

1 FILS: bronze, 1968 to 1985
5 FILS: bronze, 1968 to 1985
10 FILS: bronze, 1968 to 1989
25 FILS: copper-nickel, 1968 to 1991
50 FILS: copper-nickel, 1968 to 1991
100 FILS: copper-nickel, 1968 to 1991

Arabic inside circle. arabic looks like a 1, then a 9 then an upside-down V, then a backwards 3, then a space, then a 1, then another backwards 3, then a small dot, then another backwards 3. Below all of that is 'Fifty Fils The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
