Scheide Münze, 'fractional coin', means the coin represents a fraction of a thaler, the primary unit of money in pre-empire German Prussia ('thaler' is pronounced much like 'dollar' but with a 'T').

These cool old coins are decorated with the crowned FW monogram of emperor Friedrich Wilhelm II, while the other side carries the denomination and date.

While low in value when they are worn down, these coins can reach respectable collectible values when in better condition with a strong eye appeal. The coin in our picture is a beautiful peace in well preserved condition. The values of these coins are outlined below.
