Russia 1 Kopek 1797 to 1801
Russia 1 Kopek 1797 to 1801

Hi Chris -- It's an old 1 kopek coin from Imperial Russia. Neat! Coins of this age start to pick up some collector value, even though there were millions made. The catalogs say:

Worn: $5 US dollars
Average circulated (like our picture): $25
Well preserved: $70

If you find one with a KM mint mark, not the EM mint mark like yours, triple the catalog values.

Use our Important Terminology link to understand what 'catalog value' means. It might be a lot different than what you think it means!

Coin: 2479 , Genre: Orthodox and Slavic
