US Capped Bust Dime 1809 to 1837
US Capped Bust Dime 1809 to 1837

You have a capped bust dime, Selina. These can be pretty valuable, especially if they are in good shape from a coin collector's point of view. This means no scratches, stains, spots, cleanings, or other damage. The catalog price varies with wear, as follows:

worn: $25 US dollars catalog value
average circulated: $90
well preserved: $300
fully uncirculated: $850

Use our Important Terminology link to understand what 'catalog value' means.

The values above apply to all dates, but there are a few dates that carry more value. The list below shows *better date* coins in average circulated condition.

1809: $600
1814: $200
1822: $1600

Coin: 2542 , Genre: United States
