Netherlands Antilles 5 Cents 1957 to 1985

 Size: small 
 Description: On one side in the center it has a banner with 6 stars on it. Over the banner it has a crown. On the same side it says 'ibertate unamimus' and 'nederlandse antillen'. The other side has three starts on both the right and left side with '5 cent' written inbetween. Under the '5 cent' it has 4 leaf plant. The coin is also square.

Netherlands Antilles 5 Cents 1957 to 1985 The Netherlands Antilles has been sporting square coinage for a while. Most of their coins are round, but the 5 cents is square, the 50 cents and the 300 gulden also.

Patterns on the 5 cents changed over the years, but the basic idea -- a square coin with a big 5 -- stays the same.

Values of all these coins are low, ranging from less than $1 US dollar for worn coins to a few dollars for uncirculated specimens. The issues from 1957 to 1970 (the example shown in the picture) run into the 10s of dollars for uncirculated.
