Malaysia Malaya 1/2 and 1 Cent 1939 to 1941
You don't see many square coins, but here's one example. The half cent and one cent from Malaya, located at the southern tip of the Malaysian penninsula. Malaya became independent in 1957.
These coins are worth very little, less than 1 US dollar in circulated condition. Collectors will pay up to $10 for a bright, uncirculated specimen. After all, that square shape makes the coin extra interesting, and collectors like interesting stuff!
