Sweden 10 Ore 1880 to 1907
Sweden 10 Ore 1880 to 1907

For dates before 1891, these coins carry respectable value. After that they are still ok, just not as valuable. Coins dated 1904 and 1907 are quite common and have much lower value.

Here are some typical catalog values for these old Swedish coins.

1880 to 1891
worn: $30 US dollars catalog value
average circulated: $40
well preserved (like our picture): $80
fully uncirculated: $150

1892 to 1903
worn: $3 US dollars catalog value
average circulated: $10
well preserved (like our picture): $30
fully uncirculated: $75

Use our Important Terminology page to properly interpret these catalog values.

The inquirer states that his or her coin has a copper color. The coin is made of 40 percent silver, so any copper should not show. Sometimes coins get stained severely, and this lowers value. If the coin looks as if it is made out of copper, it may be a valuable minting error. Please contact CoinQuest (use the Contact Us link) if you think you might have a minting error.
