Ceylon Sri Lanka 5 Cents 1891 to 1951
The large island nation called the Democratic Socialist Republic of Shri (Sri) Lanka, known as Ceylon before 1972, is located near the southern tip of India. It was British before 1972, hence the British monarch on the coinage.
The 5 cent coins are square after 1892, and show various kings as the years pass. There was a 1891 gold version and, if you have one of those, figure 1000s of US dollars value.
But, other than the one gold example, all other coins are low in value, cataloging for a few dollars in circulated condition and perhaps climbing to a few 10s of dollars in fully uncirculated condition.
