Ireland 50 Pence 1970 to Date
Did I get this right, VladKyle? You have a modern 50 pence coin from Ireland. Check the date. Your coin is worth face value. Use xe.com to do exchange rate calculations.
No strictly Irish coins were issued between 1813 and 1928, so an 1861 coin with the celtic harp is unlikely. What is much more probable is a simple mis-read of the date. Turn the coin one way, it's an 1981; the other way it's 1861. It is just one of those things.
