 Size: tiny 
 Description: across the middle it has 19 with a huge 3 in the middle next to that it has the 20 meaning the coin is from 1920. around the sides is like a leafy vine cicurling from the bottom around the sides to the top with a crown on top of the number 3. on the reverse side a picture of a man maybe a cornel *sorry for spelling* face of a man. letters or maybe names in this order from left to right. georgivs v d.g.britt:omn:rex f.d.ind:imp: where it ends around the right bottom side of the coin.

Great Britain 1, 2, 3, and 4 Pence 1902 to Date Thanks for your thorough description of your British 3 pence coin, Judy. (And yes, colonel is a rough word to spell.) That's King George V on your coin. After 1936 King George VI appears on these coins. Before 1911 it's King Edward VII.

This page applies to silver 1 (penny), 2, 3, and 4 pence coins. There are copper pennies as well.

These silver coins are not very valuable, unless they are in fully uncirculated condition. Circulated coins are worth about $1 US dollar or so. Uncirculated coins can reach $40 to $50 in catalog value.
