Well, if it was electroplated with gold, most likely the actual gold content used would be very little, depending on the process of how it was plated, and the purity and amount of gold used. But it does have a higher value to some coin collectors looking for an interesting piece.

Fully gilt coins usually sell at auction between $500 and $1000 US dollars. The super-gold 1/2 pice in the picture above sold for $900 during a 2016 auction by Stephen Album. CoinQuest thanks Stephen for release of copyright to us. Nice coin!

Value decreases as the gold plating deteriorates. The less-than-super-gold 2 pice above sold for $100.

Yours is probably in the $200 neighborhood.
