Date: 1380 - Questions: Identification? Value? Variety?

There are a lot of varieties of that coin. I need help to identify exactly which variety is it. Link at left shows several varieties, so I´m confused to determine which is the correct one. Is that a silver coin or a billon coin? I think that is in bad condition, so I´m not able to determine a value. Also I´m not able to see the inscriptions.

Pirgah ::: Asking a free service for detailed numismatic research is unreasonable. A quick look at our database reveals 136 lots like yours. Back in the 1300s and 1400s nothing stayed the same very long, so 'minting varieties' does not mean much. The link you supplied concentrates on the various mints where the coin was produced. Billon and silver coins weigh about the same. If you really want a specific variety with attribution to a specific reference number, you will have to buy reference books and do the legwork yourself. Or you can hire a numismatist to do it. Perhaps someone on this site will offer to do the job for a fee. The specific variety does not affect value. Value of coins of this vintage increases and decreases with wear, damage, legibility, completeness of strike, and eye appeal. The link you supplied gives a good idea of the range of retail values.
