China Lucky Dollar with Dragon and Flowers (Counterfeit)

Token China Lucky Dollar with Dragon and Flowers (Counterfeit)

This token has a strong resemblance to a Hsuan Tung dollar (see this link [Press Here]) but it is, in fact, a good luck charm made out of non-precious metal.

It is made to look old, but it is not. These are sold as souvenirs and novelties. Prices run like this:

worn: $1 US dollar approximate catalog value
average circulated: $2
well preserved: $5

I have seen these sold for as much as $40 to unknowledgeable collectors and novelty seekers. They are nice looking, very intriguing, and make great gifts. Don't expect it to hold any value. It does not.
