We intentionally do not collect personal information from people who visit CoinQuest. We obtain your name (or computer ID, nickname, alias or initials) and email address only if you consent by initiating a conversation with us. If you give us your e-mail address, we enable you to make comments on CoinQuest and, most of the time, we offer a free subscription to our CoinQuest Newsletter on substack.com, but we never share your name and email with anyone. As a registered user, you are free to change your name and email address at any time by pressing your name as it appears in the upper left corner of every CoinQuest page. We do not receive any information from third parties.

As standard Internet practice, a coded reference to your name and email is stored locally on your computer in the form of an Internet cookie. We also use cookies to keep page counts of coins that are interesting to most people so we can keep the data associated with those coins up to date.

Aside from name and email address, we do not collect or process any personal or sensitive information.
