From Wikipedia, Nicholas II was the last Emperor of Russia, Grand Prince of Finland, and titular King of Poland. His despotic rule saw a massive decline of the previously great Russian Empire from 1894 until his abdication in 1917. His image appears on silver coins with denominations 25 kopeks, 50 kopeks, and 1 rouble. The design of these coins are the same, except for the inscription on the reverse side and, of course, their size and weight. A 50 kopek coin is shown in our image. There are 100 kopeks in a rouble. Values apply to all dates, except as noted.
The listings below give approximate catalog values for problem-free examples of these coins. If an individual coin is scratched, stained, marred, cleaned, or otherwise damaged, the value will be much lower. Use our Important Terminology page to convert these catalog values to actual buy and sell values. Even in damaged condition, these coins cannot be worth less than their silver content, which is found by multiplying the current price of silver (e.g., from kitco.com) by the silver weight in troy ounces.
