Serbia 5 and 10 Para 1879

Serbia 5 and 10 Para 1879

Milan Obrenovi? reigned as Prince Milan IV of Serbia from 1868 to 1882 and King Milan I of Serbia from 1882 to 1889. His likeness appears on 5 and 10 para coins minted in bronze. There are other Serbian coins with his portrait, but they are minted in silver. This page applies to the bronze issues only.

BTW, the coin in our picture looks un-natural. Perhaps it had been cleaned a few years back. With a cleaned look, knowledgeable collectors will not buy it, so it is worth zero.

The listings below give approximate catalog values for both 5 and 10 para, which are worth about the same. Use our Terminology page to covert to actual buy and sell values.
