Poland 1 Zloty, 2 Zlote, and 5 and 10 Zlotych 1816 to 1825

Poland 1 Zloty, 2 Zlote, and 5 and 10 Zlotych 1816 to 1825

These old silver coins from Poland are very hard to find. If you have one in good condition, you have a significant rarity. The values quoted below come from standard coin catalogs, but, in my opinion, they are a tad low due to the scarcity of these pieces. There are similar issues in gold, with higher denominations (e.g., 25 zlotych) and these get really valuable. This page applies to silver pieces only.

Here is what the catalogs say about these coins. All the dates carry, approximately, equal value for coins with Alexander I likeness and inscription.

1 ZLOTY (24 mm diameter)
worn: $50
average circulated: $250
well preserved: $500

2 ZLOTE (28 mm diameter)

5 ZLOTYCH (30 mm diameter)
