In 1963 the US states Kentucky, Illinois, and Indiana formed the Lincoln Heritage Trail Foundation and designated over 2000 miles of roadway in remembrance of the great President's early life accomplishments. The foundation issued medallions in bronze and silver to raise money for their work.
These nice medals sell on eBay for $5 to $50, depending on condition and composition. The silver medals, no surprise, occupy the high end of that range. The nice uncirculated bronze example in our picture would sell at about $10 retail.
The silver version contains 0.9 troy ounces of pure silver. As far as I know, none were issued in gold. If you have one to sell, figure a dealer would pay you about one-half of the retail price.
