The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg issued these 5 and 10 centime coins only in 1901. Adolphe ruled from 1890 to 1905. These coins are made of copper-nickel and carry decent numismatic (coin collector) value when in good condition. Of course it is difficult to find specimens that are in good condition. The one in our picture is average circulated, or maybe a little better than that (but not well preserved) and this is how you usually see these coins.
Both 5 and 10 centimes are worth about the same, as follows:
worn: $1 US dollar approximate catalog value
average circulated: $3
well preserved: $6
fully uncirculated: $20
Use our Important Terminology page to convert these catalog values to actual buy and sell values.
