Don't you love the Brits? For years and years they did not bother to write the denomination on their coins. You just had to 'know' what the coin was. Could it be a shilling? A crown? A sixpence? The Brits knew, but we don't now!
Danny probably has either a half crown or a shilling. Both have the same inscriptions and both have essentially the same patterns. You can tell the difference by size and weight.
The legend 'honi soit qui mal y pense' means 'shame on him who thinks evil of it.'
