Germany Saxony 1/2, 1, and 2 Neu Groschen 1841 to 1867
The old German State of Saxony minted a 'new groschen' between 1841 and 1867. The new groschen was equivalent to 10 pfennig. Early in the series, the design on the coins was more modest (see the secondary picture), but it became pretty flashy starting in 1863 (the primary picture).
For value, both modest and flashy designs carry about the same worth, as do all the different dates. Even the different denominations (1/2, 1, and 2 neu groshen) are about the same in catalog value, as follows:
