Look close and you will see a teensy date at 8 o'clock on the side with the lion. These coins were made only between 1920 and 1923 and they are difficult to find in nice condition. They are made of copper-nickel. Most are heavily worn or stained, so the condition of the coin means a lot to value. Also, of the four dates involved, 1920 and 1923 are worth substantially more than 1921 and 1922. There is also a version of this coin with a hole at the center. For holed coins, click to this page.
