Ahmad Sh?h Q?j?r was Shah of Iran from 1909 to 1925, the last of the Qajar dynasty. Coins minted with his likeness bear Islamic dates between AH1327 and AH1344. To convert from Islamic (Hijri, AH) to Western (Gregorian, BC, AD) date, use the IslamicFinder.org web site. AH dates are about 600 years earlier than AD dates, since the AH calendar is based on the time that Mohammed lived, about 600 years after Jesus Christ.
While there are other silver Iranian coins from this era, this page applies only to coins with the image of Ahmad Shah and the lion and sun emblem of Iran. Finding uncircualated specimens is difficult. The listings below give approximate catalog values for these coins and assume coins are free of scratches, stains, cleanings, spots, nick, gouges and the like.
