Iceland issued 2 and 5 aurar coins in bronze between 1926 and 1940. Both look the same, with the monogram of King Christian X on one side and the denomination on the other side. Some of the later dates are significantly less valuable than the earlier dates, and mint marks (one or two, see picture) make a difference to catalog value, especially in well preserved coins:
2 AURAR WITH GJ MINT MARK AND HCN OR N
worn: $2 US dollars approximate catalog value
average circulated: $4
well preserved: $10
fully uncirculated: $35
2 auras with mint marks dated 1938 and 1940 are more rare, double these values
2 AURAR WITH NO MINT MARKS
worn: less than $1 US dollars approximate catalog value
average circulated: $1
well preserved: $2
fully uncirculated: $3
5 AURAR WITH GJ MINT MARK AND HCN OR N
worn: $4 US dollars approximate catalog value
average circulated: $8
well preserved: $25
fully uncirculated: $100
5 AURAR WITH NO MINT MARKS
worn: less than $1 US dollars approximate catalog value
average circulated: $1
well preserved: $2
fully uncirculated: $4
