On the 1807 coin the inscriptions are nicely separated. On coins dated before 1907 the inscriptions tend to run together and are difficult to interpret.
These 5 and 10 lire coins come from the old Italian State of Tuscany. The example in our picture is in beautiful shape and sold recently at Goldberg Auctions for over $1000. CoinQuest thanks Goldbergs for use of their image. It is a beauty!
