Lebanon issued these coins only in 1924. While the cedar tree pattern appears on many Lebanese coins, the reverse side is different for 2 and 5 piastres of other years. Our primary picture shows the 2 piastres and our secondary picture shows the reverse side of the 5 piastres.
The 2 piastres coins are somewhat more valuable than the 5 piastres coins. Here are approximate catalog values.
2 PIASTRES:
worn: $2 US dollars approximate catalog value
average circulated: $10
well preserved: $20
fully uncirculated: $80
5 PIASTRES:
worn: $2 US dollars approximate catalog value
average circulated: $4
well preserved: $10
fully uncirculated: $50
Use our Terminology page to convert these inflated catalog values into actual buy and sell values.
