Franc, Francis, or Franz II was the last Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire. He was preceded by Leopold II and, before him, Joseph II. To keep things interesting, Franz II set up the new Austrian Empire as an opponent to Napoleon and, in this capacity, called himself Franz I.
