Medal Great Britain King Edward (Prosper the Work of Our Hands, O Lord)
We found almost nothing in our research material about this medallion made of base metal. It is not worth very much.
The undated medal probably comes from the early 1900s. It was perhaps used as a promotional token or movie prop. The style at first glance looks old, but closer inspection shows that is is probably new. The workmanship is terrible, indicating amateur origins. Trying to determine value is a challenge. Looking in all the usual places (catalogs, dealer sites, numismatic auctions, professional databases) come up dry. We found two on eBay: one sold for $2 US dollars and one did not sell at an asking price of $20. All things considered, our best guess at value for a well preserved piece (like our picture) is $1 to $5.
