Mexico 1/4 Tlaco and 2/4 Senal 1814 to 1821
These old coins from Mexico under their last Spanish ruler Ferdinand VII, bear the crown, fleur, castles, lions, and inscriptions of Spain. The Standard Catalog is not very flattering to these rare old coins, and we have modified our appraisal estimates upward based on recent auction results. The large picture at the bottom of this page is of a well preserved specimen that sold for $475 in 2009. Today it would probably go for $600 or more.
