This is a silver 1/24th thaler from the old German city of Hannover. The prancing horse appears on most coins from the old city and Brunswick Lüneburg.
The coin in our picture comes from Westfalische Auktionsgesellschaft in Arnsberg, Germany where it sold at auction for 52 euros (about $68 US dollars) during a 2007 auction. It would sell for more today.
