Token Gibraltar Robert Keeling 1 and 2 Quart 1810

These are copper tokens, not coins, issued by Robert Keeling, a Gibraltar merchant, to alleviate the shortage of small denomination currency for the local British garrison. Our picture comes from one of our favorite token dealers, ABC Coins and Tokens in Alnwick, UK. They come in 1 and 2 quarto denominations, both about equal in value, with maybe a little more for the 2 quart. Approximate catalog values are:
