Czechoslovakia 50 Korun 1947 to 1949

What's neat about coins from Czechoslovakia (the Czech Republic) is that many of their coins are made out of silver. There are plenty of Czech coins made of non-precious metal, but, even today, you might be able to find silver coins in Czechoslovakia. This is unusual. Most countries don't make silver coins except for special purposes.

The 50 korun coins of 1947, 1948, and 1949 are made of 0.1607 troy ounces of silver. The 1947 coin is shown in our picture. The other dates look similar but with variations in the design, especially on the non-lion side. These coins are 28 mm in diameter.
