Token US Most Popular Bullion Ad

The advertising agency that produces these tokens is not very particular. Christina's coin says the the krugerrand is the most popular bullion coin in the world. But the one in our picture says the gold eagle holds that lofty title. Both krugerrands and gold eagles are bullion coins, i.e., coins made out of precious metal for purchase by investors in precious metal. But, almost for sure, this advertising token is NOT made of precious metal. If it were, it would have an inscription such as 0.999 pure silver or 9999 gold.

These are advertising tokens that are essentially worthless. Someone might be willing to pay $5 or $10 US dollars as a novelty or conversation piece. A coin dealer might buy one from you for $1 or $2. They are made to promote investment in bullion coins. Now if you can find one that say 999 silver or gold, and if it is a genuine piece, then it is worth its weight in precious metal.

To be extra sure, you can take your coin to a jeweler and have it tested for gold and silver content.
