Germany Weimar Republic 3 Reichsmark 1931
In 1931, the German Reich issued these beautiful commemorative coins for the 300-year anniversary of the rebuilding of Magdeburg after a siege in 1630 and 1631 which left the city in ruins.
These coins were struck at the Berlin mint, as denoted by the tiny 'A' found above the head of the eagle, under the letters 'HE' of 'DEUTSCHES'.
Minted in 50% pure silver and with a hefty weight of 15 grams, these coins each contain 0.241 troy ounces of silver. However, their bullion value is negligible compared to their catalog values, as listed below:
