Franz (Franciscus) II of Austria minted these coins in 5, 10, and 20 kreuzer denominations between 1802 and 1835. The denomination appears in the apple-shaped scrollwork at the bottom of the side with the double-headed eagle. The alloy is only about 50 percent silver. The total silver content is:
5 KREUZER, 1815 to 1835: 0.033 troy ounces silver
10 KREUZER, 1809 to 1835: 0.063 ounces silver
20 KREUZER, 1802 to 1835: 0.125 ounces silver
Some of these coins carry decent numismatic (coin collector) value. The 20 kreuzer is much more plentiful than the 5 and 10 kreuzer. Here are approximate catalog values.
